That's what she said 🌀 how workplace stress turned her into an anxious mess ~ a storytime

P.S this a veeeery fictional story. take it with a grain of salt.🧂 :)

Hi, meet Jane ~ a corporate baddie. And here is her story with anxiety 👇

The corporate curse:

Once upon a time, I was a happy-go-lucky employee with dreams of climbing the corporate ladder. But then, something terrible happened. I got promoted.

At first, I was thrilled. More money💰, more responsibility, more respect – what could go wrong? But as I delved deeper into my new role, I began to feel the weight of the corporate curse.

Deadlines, emails, meetings, conference calls – it was all too much. My stress levels skyrocketed, and before I knew it, I was suffering from anxiety disorder.

It started with sweaty palms and a racing heart whenever I saw my boss's name pop up on my phone. Then came the sleepless nights, the constant worrying, and the occasional panic attack in the bathroom stall. Yikes!

But it wasn't until I found myself stress-eating an entire box of donuts in one sitting that I realized something had to give. I was on the fast track to burnout, and it wasn't pretty.

So, I did what any self-respecting employee would do. I googled "how to cope with workplace stress" and prayed for a miracle.

What I found was a treasure trove of advice – from meditation to exercise to quitting my job and joining a hippie commune. Okay, maybe not that last one.

But despite my initial skepticism, I decided to give some of the tips a try. I took up yoga, started leaving work on time (gasp!), and even started delegating some of my tasks to my team members. And you know what? It worked.

Slowly but surely, my anxiety levels started to subside. I stopped sweating the small stuff and learned to let go of my perfectionist tendencies. I even started to enjoy my job again – imagine that!

So, if you're feeling the corporate curse creeping up on you, take heart. You're not alone, and there is hope. Just remember to take care of yourself, laugh at the absurdity of it all, and don't forget to breathe. And, of course, always keep a box of donuts handy, just in case.

What can we learn from this story? It's time for a deep reflection
